My Story

Empowerment comes from embracing every facet of who you are, paving the way for you to become the person you aspire to be.

Life can be tough and sometimes it feels like we’re putting on a show while dealing with our own struggles inside. I’ve been there. It’s why I’m a therapist. When I was struggling, I wished that there was someone outside the noise to listen and help walk with me through the turbulent times.

It’s why I have dedicated years of my life to studying the most effective ways to help people through trauma. It’s why I became licensed and certified to help those who’ve been abused, are dealing with loss or divorce, who’ve witnessed terrible things. It’s why I sacrifice. It’s why I work. Life can be hard, but it is a whole lot harder when you navigate its challenges alone.

Over a decade ago, I began working as a therapist. I started by helping teenagers throughout the nation, struggling with a vast array of challenging problems. While seeing these youth recover and thrive was rewarding, as time past, I became increasingly interested in helping lift those closer to home, those in my immediate community.

So, in 2018 I founded Life Trek Therapy and since then, I’ve focused on providing the very best therapy for those who have experienced or are experiencing different types of trauma. I’ve walked with hundreds of people on their path of healing and together we’ve begun a life journey to finding peace and joy.

I love working hard to help people
become who they want to become

Together we can begin the trek. It takes effort and persistence, but it is worth it. My specializations include:

Abuse

I work with those who have suffered all types of abuse including Child Abuse, Sexual Abuse, Neglect, Physical/Emotional/Psychological Abuse, Verbal Abuse, Abuse/Bullying at work or school, Cyberbullying

Divorce & Death

I specialize in supporting individuals navigating the complex emotions tied to loss, whether through death or divorce. Whether you're grieving the passing of a loved one or grappling with the challenges of divorce, I am here to provide a compassionate space for healing and self-discovery.

Witnessing Trauma

For those who have witnessed trauma, I offer a supportive environment to help process and understand the impact of such distressing experiences. Whether you've encountered violence, accidents, or other traumatic events, my goal is to guide you towards healing, resilience, and a renewed sense of well-being.

My Approach

I offer a supportive and collaborative space for your journey towards self-discovery and healing.

As we dive into this journey together, there are a few things I would like you to know about my approach.

First, I want it to feel like a safe space for you. I’ve faced my fair share of challenges, grappled with relationships, and just navigated the messiness of life. I know what it feels like. And I know how lonely it can be when you feel like nobody really gets what you’re going through.

Second, in a world that often encourages us to overlook life’s challenges, I hold a different perspective. Embracing the entirety of your experiences is crucial for personal growth. I am dedicated to fostering this awareness, guiding you to fully accept yourself – both the challenges and triumphs. Empowerment comes from embracing every facet of who you are, paving the way for you to become the person you aspire to be.

Third, I believe in being real, caring, and understanding. Yes, my therapeutic toolkit is always available, but authenticity is of primary importance. Don’t worry about saying the “right” things. Think of our sessions like you would chatting with a friend. You might laugh. You might shed some tears, and every now and then, I might gently challenge you to think about things in a new way. Let’s make this journey yours—authentic, supportive, and with room for both the tough and heartwarming moments.

Finally, a little technical jargon. My practice is rooted in trauma-informed therapy, and I bring specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), therapy founded in mindfulness. With a commitment to your well-being, I offer a supportive and collaborative space for your journey towards self-discovery and healing.
